Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have slaughtered at least 15 humans in coordinated assaults on two communities in Jere Local Government Area of Borno state.
It used to be gathered that the insurgents stormed Kofa village at midnight and started out shooting, which lasted about an hour into the early hours of Friday.
It used to be learnt that they equally attacked Molai Kura and Molai Gana the place they slaughtered some people. Many residents reportedly fled their homes to take cover in the close by bush.
A top member of a vigilante group, Bukar Ali Musty, stated farmers while working on farmland in Jere nearby government area of Borno State, sources said.
According to him, the farmers had been working on their farmland close to Molai, on the outskirts of Maiduguri on Thursday when insurgents attacked and beheaded them.
“At least 15 our bodies were evacuated this morning, the assaults took vicinity the previous day (Thursday).
“Seven farmers had been beheaded whilst working on their farmland and the attackers additionally slit the throats of eight different innocent civilians in their homes,” he said.
Another civilian JTF who was part of the evacuation team, raised concerns over the attacks, announcing all stakeholders ought to wake up to make sure it doesn’t continue.
