Angel Smith, a Big Brother Naija ‘All Stars’ contestant, has stated that she considered suicide in March, which was spurred by her desire to maintain her star position. According to Naija News, the reality TV personality made the revelation during a conversation with Soma on Tuesday. Surviving the thought of committing suicide, according to Angel, was a tumultuous experience because celebrity divided her life into pieces. She stated that the occurrence is one of the reasons she is able to deal in the current ‘All-Stars’ edition.
She stated:
“I numbed myself out after my suicide attempt in March because it got so chaotic. Fame divided me into pieces and left those pieces on the floor for me to pick up. It broke me.
“Every time I get into an argument in this house, I say to myself, do I even want to be here? I remember how I got here. No one in this house knows this. I have suffered.”
While comforting Soma, who was crying from fear of expulsion, the 23-year-old revealed that she would not win the N120 million top prize. She is aware, however, that God has brought her back to the reality programme for a reason, and she has been through the same experience as Soma. She stated:
“If I am being realistic, I will not win the N120 million. I just know God brought me back for a reason, and that reason might be you because you are going through what I went through two years ago. I care about you. I can only be there if you let me help you.”
