
Austin Faani, a Nigerian filmmaker, has spoken up about his wife, Chacha Eke-Faani’s, mental health difficulties.
According to Citi News, Chacha has spoken about her mental health journey and challenges with the condition at various times.

Faani revealed how he made sacrifices for his wife in order for her to restore her sanity, shedding further information on her situation. Faani recalled how a pastor duped him into sacrificing goats to heal his wife while speaking at the Meticulous People nonprofit Outreach, a mental illness nonprofit founded by Chacha.

He bemoaned the fact that religion has caused more harm than good in Africa. Chacha commented on her Instagram profile after posting a video, “
“The universe knew I would need ‘saving’ and so they sent ‘Austin Faani my way.
According to Faani, “I’m a very religious person but I believe religion has done more harm to Africans than anything else.
“In November 2012, I took her to a church because I told the pastor that my father-in-law killed a lot of cows for her, he said I should kill something for her. So Iran to Abraka market and bought a big goat for her but at the end of the day, the same thing kept happening to her.”
