Ka3na Jones, a former housemate of Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown,’ has bid a final farewell to her late husband in Italy.
The reality star lost her husband, who was also the father of her daughter, in May. She shared a video of herself releasing his ashes into the water in Italy.
In the video, Ka3na expressed that she had set her husband’s spirit free to soar among the heavens, hoping it would touch the hearts of everyone who knew him. She acknowledged that while tears may fall, her husband’s memory will continue to shine like a guiding light, illuminating their path with strength, resilience, and enduring love.
She shared her heartfelt message: “On the 22nd of October 2023 at 10 AM CET, my beautiful daughter and I released the ashes of a beloved husband and a great father. Setting his spirit free to soar among the heavens. As the wind carries his essence and the timeless waters of the Grand Canal witness the journey of a cherished soul…may it touch the hearts of all who knew him, forever reminding us of his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Though our tears may fall, his memory will forever shine as a guiding light, illuminating our path with strength, resilience, and the enduring power of love. Rest peacefully, dear husband and best knowing that your legacy lives on eternally within our hearts. Adieu.”
In May, reports emerged of Ka3na’s husband’s passing, and viral videos showed her breaking down in tears as she bid him farewell. In a statement on her Instagram page a week after his death, she expressed the deep loss she felt, especially for her daughter, who had lost her father, and herself, a widow in her 20s.
Before his passing, the couple had parted ways for undisclosed reasons. Ka3na had announced her divorce from her foreign husband, even though they had celebrated their anniversary days before, declaring herself single. She later admitted that making decisions about her marriage and relocation had been some of her most challenging decisions in 2022, but she believed they were worth it.
