Davido to perform in Osun in celebration of Adeleke’s Supreme Court victory.

Following the triumph of his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, at the Supreme Court, Nigerian artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has announced plans to organize a music performance in Osun State.

The singer of “Omo Baba Olowo” announced this in a post on Twitter on May 10, 2023, according to Citi News.

Davido, who performed at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos last month (April), said that a next “Timeless concert” would take place in Osun State.

He wrote, “Timeless concert in Osun this year ?? @Tunegee ??? Cc @AAdeleke_01.”

Remember that on Tuesday, the Supreme Court upheld Adeleke’s election as Osun’s governor. Adeleke was the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate in the July 16, 2022, gubernatorial election.

Adeleke was confirmed as the governor of Osun state by the five-member Supreme Court panel, which was chaired by Justice John Okoro.

In the ruling read aloud by Justice Emmanuel Agim, the supreme court ruled that Oyetola had not shown sufficient proof to support his claim that there had been excessive voting in the July 16, 2022 governorship election.

The panel also unanimously decided that the Osun election tribunal’s inability to take into account the preliminary objections made by Adeleke and the PDP at the trial stage amounted to a violation of procedural fairness and rendered the entire proceeding null and void.
