Viewers of the Big Brother Naija show were outraged after ‘All-Stars’ Housemate Seyi Awolowo avoided another eviction on Sunday night.
Seyi was saved last week by Mike Edwards, Dorathy Bachor, and Bisola Ayieola despite receiving the fewest votes. Uriel was evicted from Biggie’s home in a similar manner after two jury members voted against her despite receiving more votes from fans than Seyi. Uriel received 2% of the viewers’ votes, while Seyi received 1.7%, but spared eviction as two Jury members, Laycon and Daina, voted in his favour. The departure of Uriel from the show has sparked outrage among fans, who are demanding that ‘Jury’ votes be abolished.
Some fans alleged that the eviction jury is not watching the show to learn who the least entertaining housemate is, but is instead voting based on favouritism. Others believed that the show’s producers had planned who would win and who would be ousted.
