Mr. Muniru Olatunji Balogun, Wizkid’s father, has expressed gratitude to God for his son’s career, excellent health, and membership with the APC party.

During an interview with GoldMyne TV, he recently expressed his joy at being alive and in excellent health, as his son is flourishing in music.

Mr. Balogun spoke on his contributions to the Alaba community, particularly his successful fight for the installation of electricity in that village in 1972.

Wizkid’s father earlier stated that he was the ward chairman of the now-defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) before joining the present APC and becoming its chairman.

He admitted to being the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Alaba, Lagos, for 14 years.

“I came to Ajegunle in 1972. And at that time there was no light in Alaba. So, I’m the one that went to NEPA and made them come to survey the whole of Alaba and gave them light. So, those are my contributions [to the community].

Also, I’m the Babadeen of Alaba Central Mosque. And also a former chairman of the APC for 14 years. I thank God that I’m still alive and my son, Wizkid is still doing well,” he said.
