Former Big Brother Naija All-Stars contestant, Mercy Eke, has opened up about her thoughts on marriage and starting a family.
In an interview with media personality Hero Daniels, Mercy revealed that she doesn’t want to be a ‘Baby Mama’ like some of her celebrity colleagues. She expressed her readiness to settle down and have a family, highlighting her desire to have her own children.
However, Mercy also shared her doubts about marriage, admitting that she doesn’t feel fully prepared for it at the moment. She acknowledged the pressure from her mother, who, like many African parents, has been encouraging her to get married.
Mercy disclosed that she has one more relationship in mind before potentially reevaluating her perspective on matrimony. She emphasized her wish to be married before becoming a mother, as she comes from a Christian background.
She added, “In as much as you want to be a boss lady, we just need that care, that somebody who just wakes up and checks on you. Someone who will be by your side and just do little things for you. Yeah, I’m eager to have a husband, but right now, I feel more prepared to have a child.”
