Murphy Afolabi, An Esteemed Nollywood Actor Is Dead.

Murphy Afolabi, a prominent Nollywood actor and producer, died at the age of 48 after a terrible fall in his toilet at his Ikorodu apartment in Lagos State.

According to Citi News, the actor died in the early hours of Sunday, May 14, 2023, just a few days after celebrating his birthday.

This comes after it was revealed that legendary Nigerian thespian Obinna Nwafor, well known by his stage name Saint Obi, died lately.

Obi died on Monday, May 7, 2023, according to reports circulating on the internet. The veteran actor is alleged to have died after spending several months in the hospital receiving treatment for an unnamed ailment.

A source told blogger Moji Delano that the actor, whom he had met a few times and recognized as Saint Obi, died on Sunday and that his body was brought to the JUTH morgue the next day. This occurred after a visit to his sister’s home in Jos.

Saint Obi is said to have recently relocated to his sister’s residence in Jos, the Plateau State capital, and has been frequently seen being carried to the hospital. A source at JUTH also stated that Mr. Obi was frequently seen in the hospital.
