Obinna Nwafor, also known as Saint Obi, a late Nollywood actor, was married to Linda. Linda has spoken out about her husband’s passing and expressed how much she will miss him.
According to Citi News, the movie actor was buried last week in his birthplace of Mbaitoli Local Government Area in Imo State after passing away on May 7.
Saint Obi’s widow stated in videos published by Yes! Magazine editor Azuh Arinze that she finds it hard to accept her husband’s passing because of the family’s tragic loss.
She stated:
“I believe our (she and Saint Obi) meeting was divinely orchestrated. You were highly domesticated. I miss you. Istill don’t know how to feel. This should not have happened. It is very difficult to accept that you are gone, that my children will no longer have a father, and I will not hold your hulky frame again. My children and I pray for you daily. Your death has left us despondent.
Losing you to the cold hands of death is my deepest sorrow. Nothing can heal the pain inside. love you and always have.”
Chidera, the deceased’s first son, also stated that his father’s death drove him to grow up and become a man.
He promised to shield his mother from the prying eyes of the media, just like his late father did, who he characterised as a wonderful performer who made people smile.
He stated:
“Thank you for teaching me the way of life. I know you are watching over me. I have been forced to grow up into leadership. will lead, dad. I will protect my mum and siblings, especially from the preying press, as you did while you were here. I will always love you, till we meet again.”
Obi’s only daughter, Nnemdi, said, “Dad, I just want you to know that I love you very much and I miss you. You will always be in my heart and I will always remember the fun times we shared. I wished you lived longer with us. You were a good actor. That is why I want to act and draw. I know you will not be here to watch me grow and do great things. Please watch over me, mummy and my brothers from heaven. love you.”
