“Samklef Calls Out Davido Over Alleged Debt and Offers Wizkid as an Example”
A recent outbreak of celebrity disputes involves the talented singer and songwriter, Davido, and music producer Samklef. The root of this clash revolves around allegations that Davido owes money to various individuals.
The drama unfolded when Davido made a confusing statement on Twitter in response to ongoing accusations of unpaid debts. He tweeted, “make nobody beg me, you wanna be famous, bah, okay,” indicating that he was getting ready to address the rumors about his financial debts.
As expected, fellow artists and industry insiders swiftly joined the conversation. Samklef was among those who expressed their thoughts. In a somewhat light-hearted yet direct manner, he jokingly referred to Davido as “owe owe 1,” playing on Davido’s signature “001” tag, effectively labeling him as someone who owes money.
Samklef went on to advise Davido to take a page out of Wizkid’s book. Using a reference to the iconic film “Scarface,” he explained that sometimes silence can be more powerful than making noise. In the movie, Sosa makes significant moves quietly.
The criticisms didn’t stop there. Samklef suggested that Davido could benefit from attending a lecture, specifically one on the “48 Laws of Power.”
He also implied that Davido sometimes appeared to have an “outside US mentality,” particularly considering his international exposure and experiences.
Samklef added another layer to the discussion by bringing Yung Duu, a former signee of Portable, into the conversation. He claimed that even Yung Duu wouldn’t make the kind of statements on Twitter that Davido had been making.
Samklef concluded his message by challenging Davido to answer the central question: Does he owe money or not? He believes Davido should be transparent about the matter instead of making veiled threats.
It’s worth noting that Blessing CEO had accused Davido of owing 4.5 million Naira to a business card dealer named IVD. However, IVD swiftly denied these claims. In an attempt to strengthen her case, Blessing Okoro shared additional evidence. She produced an audio recording in which IVD allegedly confirmed that Davido owed him over 4 million Naira. The saga surrounding Davido’s alleged debts continues to generate public attention and discussion.
