The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently holding a vital meeting with senators and members of the House of Representatives elected on the party’s platform.
According to CitiNews, the meeting is taking place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, with all of the ruling party’s officials in attendance.
Bola Tinubu, President-elect; Senator Kashim Shettima, Vice President-elect; Senator Abdullahi Adamu, APC National Chairman; Senator Iyiola Omisore, National Secretary; and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) are in attendance.
Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Senate Chief Whip Orji Uzor Kalu, former Senate Leader Ali Ndume, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele of Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola of Ogun East, and several others are also present.
According to reports, the meeting would examine the subject of zoning the Senate Presidency, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and other National Assembly major posts ahead of the opening of the 10th National Assembly in June.
The conference will also examine the call for the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, and Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.
