The Labour Party (LP) has commenced coaching for a viable rerun election.
This was disclosed to journalists by means of Obiora Ifoh, National Publicity Secretary of the party.
According to him, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had already commenced preparation for a rerun, so there is a want for the LP to begin making preparation as well.
Going further, he insisted that the countrywide chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure, is already aware of the development.
He brought that Abure also known as on the over 10 million contributors of the celebration to be on the alert and get equipped similarly to humiliate APC and its government in the polls.
Abure was quoted to have said:
“Rumours have it that those in authorities are already planning for a rerun, and this is one of the support we will be canvasing from you.
We ought to additionally be getting prepared because when you consider that all these in government are already getting ready for a rerun, we, too, now not be taken unawares.
“So we will need your engagement and help on this issue if par adventure it occurs today, that the election is nullified, which is not what we are asking for because we are asking for an outright assertion of Peter Obi as the President of Nigeria.
“We agree with strongly that we gained that election given the statistics we have, given the end result we have, we are not watching for anything less than the declaration of Peter Obi as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“But supposing that didn’t manifest as the authorities is believed to be planning for a rerun, it will no longer also be out of vicinity for us to put together for a rerun election.”
The LP also insisted that following their trip at the tribunal, the consequence of the presidential election petition tribunal will come out in favour of Obi.
