David Adeleke, better known as Davido, Nigerian singer, has expressed his condolences to his fellow artist, Ayodeji Balogun, also known as Wizkid, following the death of his mother.
Davido mentioned his mother’s passing many years ago during his performance at the Afronation Fest in Detroit, Michigan, over the weekend.
He stated,
“I wanna say big condolences to my brother Ayo Balogun, Wizkid, to his mother.
May her soul rest in peace.”
Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, Wizkid’s mother, died last week Friday following a brief illness, according to Citi News.
Mrs Balogun, who was a rock of support for her son’s thriving career and was frequently seen cheering him on from the sidelines during performances, died in the early hours of today, Friday, August 18, 2023.
